India has earned an unenviable distinction of being one of the top five countries in the world to be targeted by phishing attacks.
As per the findings of RSA’s in November 2012, India witnessed nearly 7 per cent of all global phishing attacks, making it the third most targeted country after US and UK.
India replaced Canada, which saw a significant decrease in the number of phishing attacks from 27 per cent to a mere 4 per cent in the month of November. Researchers at RSA noted an overall increase of 24 per cent in phishing attacks in November.
