This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for each learning format. Periods are counted from the date your access is activated or, for scheduled programs, from the start date confirmed in your enrollment email.
Eligibility for refunds
You can request a refund for any course or program within the periods below. Refunds are calculated on the amount you paid for that course or program. This policy does not affect any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Self-paced courses
Self-paced mini-courses ($199) and self-paced practical courses ($299): full refund within 14 days of access activation, provided you have not submitted the final exercise and have completed no more than 25% of the lessons. After 14 days, or once the final exercise is submitted, these courses are non-refundable.
Project courses
Project-based courses ($399) and guided project courses ($499): full refund within 14 days of access activation if no project or checkpoint has been submitted for review. If a review has already been delivered, a 50% refund is available within the same 14 days. After 14 days, these courses are non-refundable.
Mentor-supported programs
Mentor-supported online programs ($699) and advanced mentor programs ($1,499): full refund within 7 days of access activation if no mentor review, office-hours session or live session has been used. After that and until the end of the second program week, we refund the unused portion of the program on a pro-rata basis by weeks remaining. After the second week, these programs are non-refundable.
Cohort programs
Cohort-style skills programs ($999): full refund if you cancel 7 or more days before the cohort start date. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start, you can choose a 50% refund or a free transfer to the next available cohort. After the cohort starts, you can transfer once to a later cohort during the first week; no refunds are available after the start date.
Bootcamps
Small-group bootcamps ($1,999): full refund if you cancel 14 or more days before the first live session; 75% refund if you cancel less than 14 days before it; 50% refund from the first live session until the end of the second week. After the second week, bootcamps are non-refundable. One free transfer to a later bootcamp is available before the end of the second week.
Premium 1:1 program
Premium 1:1 capstone program ($2,990): full refund before your first 1:1 session. After the first session and until the end of week 4, we refund the value of 1:1 sessions and code reviews not yet delivered, calculated proportionally to the four sessions and eight reviews included. After week 4, the program is non-refundable.
Programs already started
Access to digital content, completed reviews and sessions already delivered are counted as used when calculating partial refunds. Your access ends when a refund is issued.
Rescheduling
Live and 1:1 sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice at no cost. Sessions missed without notice count as delivered. If we cancel or cannot deliver a scheduled session, we will reschedule it or refund its value.
Program cancellation by Programming Villa
If we cancel a cohort, bootcamp or program before it starts, you receive a full refund or, if you prefer, a transfer to another start date or program of equal value.
How to request cancellation
Email hello@programmingvilla.com or use the contact form with the topic "Refund/cancellation". Include your order number and the course or program name. The date we receive your request is the date used to calculate your refund.
Refund processing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to show the refund on your statement.
